Living My Life on Purpose
Last year, 2024, was my first full year of retirement from Corporate America. After 15 years at SunTrust/Truist Bank and 25 years in the IT industry, I officially retired as a Software Engineering Director in December 2023. But I'm not out of the game, just out of the race.
I made a commitment to start living my life with intention and purpose, to pursue my God Given dream of entrepreneurship with findeREC Inc. and fulfill my civic duties as a Servant Leader, Councilwoman for the City of Riverdale, with passion and perseverance.
I fully understand my purpose: I am here to have a positive impact on lives and save some along the way.
I am a spirit filled, faith-based woman, but admit there’s always been just one fear I've had as a single parent: If something happened to me, what would happen to my child?
As a result, I've taken extra precautions to be prepared for emergencies. This enthusiasm for emergency preparedness has become my passion and lead to the creation of my business findeREC Inc. (which is the electronic Record of Emergency Contacts) It’s also become my platform as an elected official: emergency preparedness and public safety.
In 2025, I will continue this journey to see these purpose driven goals come to full fruition.
